Landon Mayer
Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Landon started fly fishing when he was 10 years old with his older brother, and soon the two of them were roaming the Rocky Mountains searching for trophy trout.
He started guiding professionally on the South Platte River at the age of 19, and still considers Colorado his home waters, guiding over 120 days a year at Eleven-mile, Cheeseman Canyons, and the tailwaters of Spinney Reservoir.
Landon is a Certified Casting Instructor for the Federation of Fly Fishers, and recognized fly casting expert nationwide. He serves as an ambassador for Cloudveil Fishing, and is on the Ross Reels Pro-staff.
Landon's first book, How to Catch the Biggest Trout of Your Life, is availiable from Wild River Press (2006). His teaching DVD, Landing the Trout of Your Life, featuring his good friend and fishing partner, John Barr is available from Mad Trout Media (Jan. 2007).

A sociology professor for 25 years, Bill Edrington has owned Royal Gorge Anglers in Canon City, CO since 1990.,,
In addition to teaching fly fishing, he is an author and outdoor photographer with his current new book being Fly Fishing the Arkansas: An Angler,s Guide and Journal., He has carried a fly rod on Colorado and New Mexico waters for nearly forty years.
